Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search box is sent to the provider that supplies the result experience. Mauldin Residents Directory does not retain a copy of that search. A message sent to us contains the information in that message and is used to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting systems may create standard logs, such as an IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and timestamps. We use aggregate information for site operation and page-use measurement. Cookies or similar tools can support basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
What We Do With This Data
We use this limited information to operate the service, correct faults, measure traffic, and improve its record-reference pages. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
Links to Other Websites
We link out to county and state records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Their privacy policies, not ours, govern what you submit there. That is especially true of the sponsored search results, which a third-party company provides.
Who Might See Your Data
The service providers that host and support the site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose data when a valid legal process requires it, and not otherwise.
How We Protect Your Data
The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Data Rights
Your place of residence may provide rights to request access, correction, or deletion of data a website maintains. The research did not identify a universal South Carolina consumer deletion right or statewide data-broker registry. Because this service retains little, a request normally involves checking the contact mailbox and applicable logs, then removing what is found. Use the Contact page. State, county, and City public records are controlled by their custodian, so requests about those records belong with the agency that holds them.
Updates to This Policy
We will post revisions to this policy here. Continued use after a posted revision indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
